He is Chief Physician, the Chief and Well-known Expert of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Department in Qilu Hospital of
Shandong University. He is the director, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Department  in Shandong University. He is the doctoral supervisor of Shandong University of TCM, the discipline leader of Shandong Province Key Clinical Specialty of TCM, the head of Chinese Famous Old TCM Inheritance Studio and Shandong Province Key Laboratory of Medicine and Health. He is the representative inheritor of national academic genre (Qilu Internal Medicine), the third batch of academic heirs of old Chinese TCM experts, the high-level medical talent of Shandong Province, the famous TCM expert of Shandong Province, the instructor of Chinese TCM clinical characteristic technical inheritance backbone talents, the instructor of Shandong Province five-level TCM master-apprentice education, the expert of Shandong Province Famous Old Chinese Medicine Experts Inheritance Studio, the chief of well-known young and middle-aged experts in Chinese Geriatrics. He is also the vice chairman of Shandong Province Committee of Peasants and Workers Party, the member of Shandong Province Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the special inspector of Shandong Province Supervision Department, the consultant of Shandong Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, the Vice President of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Geriatrics Professional Committee, the executive director of Diabetes Professional Committee of World Federation of TCM, the standing member of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Integrative Medicine, the standing member of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine Physician Branch, the executive director of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics, the vice president of Northern Chronic Disease Prevention Branch, the standing member of Chinese Society of Gerontology, the president of Shandong Society of Geriatrics, the chairman of Diabetes Branch. He is the editorial board members of many journals. He is an expert of Shandong, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Guangdong, Henan and the Ministry of Education's science and technology expert database, the review expert of national science and technology award and national natural fund. In 2018, he was awarded the title of "China's Good Doctor", and in 2019, he was awarded the Chinese Medical Contribution Award of "Blessing Life and Glory to Doctors".

He has presided over 10 provincial and National Natural Science Foundation projects, and won 2 second prizes of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, 4 second prizes and 3 third prizes of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award. He has completed 7 works as editor in chief or co-editor and published more than 150 papers. He is the teacher of nursing and clinical medicine majors. As an associate editor, he participated in the compilation of the national medical planning textbook "Traditional Chinese Medicine". The course "Traditional Chinese Medicine" taught was rated as an excellent course of Shandong Province.
He has recruited 8 apprentices, and guided 48 master and doctoral students, of whom 33 have graduated so far.
