He studied oral and maxillofacial surgery under professor Sun Yongquan, a famous expert in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He graduated in 1985 with a master's degree. In the same year, He worked in the school until now. He has been an attending physician since 1988, deputy chief physician since 1998, and chief physician since 2008. He is engaged in clinical work of oral and maxillofacial surgery for a long time, has introduced and innovated 18 kinds of surgical methods for the unit, has won the Shandong University Qilu Hospital Technology Progress Award for 5 times, of which the 2nd prize 4 times, the 3rd prize 1 time. The proposed surgical method of unilateral severe cleft lip repair with nasal septum cartilage graft was invited to deliver a speech at the 4th Smile Train International Symposium on Cleft lip and Palate Treatment. He has published more than 30 papers in various professional journals in China, and the book Practical Cleft Lip and Palate Operation, edited by the institute, won the third prize of excellent scientific research achievement in Shandong universities in 2006. Since 2001, he has been the tutor of clinical master of Maxillofacial surgery in the School of Stomatology. He has trained 6 master's students and 5 graduates, and assisted in training 28 master's students. Since 2002, he has been employed as a member of the doctoral leading group of surgical rehabilitation in Shandong Qilu Hospital and assisted in training 12 doctoral students.
