Professor An has been awarded as a member of American Heart Association (AHA) and a Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC). Also, he serves as a member of the Subspecialty Group of Metabolism, Society of Cardiovascular, Chinese Medical Association（CMA）, a member of the Special Committee of Heart Failure, Chinese Medical Doctor Association（CMDA）, the Vice Chairman of the Special Committee of Heart Failure, Shandong Medical Association (SDMA), and the Vice Chairman of Shandong Hypertension League.
Professor An is the leader of multiple Fund Projects, including the sub-project of national 973 program, 3 National Natural Science Foundations of China (NSFC) and multiple provincial funds. He gives priority to atherosclerosis and diabetic cardiomyopathy，and has published over 30 articles as the corresponding author and the first author in the journals of SCI system. As an excellent tutor, he has won the Shandong Province Excellent Tutor Award 3 times. He also serves as the editorial board member and reviewer for many professional journals in cardiovascular field.
