He received his Ph.D. in Pathology from Wakayama Medical University in 2006, and worked in the department of Pathology, University of Michigan during 2006-2009. He is multi-disciplinary trained in research fields including histopathology and cancer biology. Dr. Han specializes in the pathological diagnosis of urinary and male reproductive system diseases.

Dr. Han is currently the vice chairman of the National Laboratory of Basic Medical Morphology, the standing committee of the Chinese Pathologist Society, the vice chairman of Shandong Pathology Association, and the standing editorial committee member of the Journal of Shandong University (medical edition) He was awarded as Chinese Outstanding Young Pathologistin 2016 and the Outstanding Physician in Shandong Province in 2018.

Dr. Han’s research interests focus on understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in the invasion and metastasis of prostate cancers, as well as development of novel molecular biomarkers for prostate cancer. He has received six funds from the National Natural Science Foundation of China since 2010. He published more than 70 SCI papers, with a total impact factor of more than 300, and a single paper with a maximum impact factor of 9.310.
