She graduated from Shandong University in 2004 with a doctorate degree in otorhinolaryngology. In the same year, she was admitted in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. She is good at otologic microsurgeries, especially residual hearing preserving cochlear implantation, difficult cochlear implantion. Shei is also skilled in preoperative auditory evaluation, pediatric auditory diagnosis, and treatment of hearing loss. Since 2012, as the director in charge of the cochlear implant rescue project in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, she has completed nearly 2,000 cochlear implant operations. As the main contributor, she has won one second class prize and two third class prizes of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award. She carried out one provincial research project, and published more than 20 papers.

She is also a member of the Audiology Group in the Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Audiology Group of the Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a member of the Hearing Rehabilitation  Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, a member of the Artificial Hearing Branch of the China International Association for the Promotion of Health Care, deputy Chairman of the Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation Committee of Shandong Provincial Society of Rehabilitation Medicine, a member of the Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Branch of Shandong Medical Association, Director of the National Cochlear Implant Project in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University.
