Professor Yu Jingui is the director and Ph.D. advisor of the Department of Anesthesiology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. He received a doctor degree in medicine from Japan in 2006. In addition，he currently serves as the director of Shandong Geriatrics Research Association and the chairman of the Geriatric Anesthesia Professional Committee, the deputy chairman of the Anesthesia and Analgesia Branch of the Chinese Integrative Medicine Association, a member of the Geriatric Anesthesiology Group of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and a standing member of the Anesthesiology Branch of Chinese Medical Association Committee, director of the Chinese Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesiology, deputy chairman of the Shandong Medical Association Anesthesiology Committee,  Director of Teaching and Research Office of Department of Anesthesiology of Qilu Hospital，Shandong University school of medicine, and visiting professor of Weifang Medical College, etc. He served as standing committee members and editorial members of ‘Anesthesia & Analgesia Chinese edition’ and seven other magazines. He undertakes two projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, two projects from the Ministry of Education, one project from the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong province, one horizontal project from Shandong University, and two projects from Qilu hospital. The research of him are mainly focus on the effects of anesthetics on cardiovascular contractility and immunity in perioperative myocardial research. A total of 100 papers were published by him, of which 40 papers were published in SCI journals (first author(8) and  corresponding authors（31）), won two second prizes for excellent science and technology from the Department of Education of Shandong Province, and two third prize of scientific and technological progress awards of Shandong Province，two professional books as chief editor and one as associate editor respectively; In addition，28 master graduate students and 16 doctoral students have been trained, and more than 12 doctoral students are in training under him now.
