As a pioneer in the field of totally thoracoscopy cardiac surgery, in 2009, Dr. Ma invented Tir-Port Chest Thoracoscopy Cardiac Surgery Technique and performed the world’s first totally endoscopic congenital heart disease repair surgery and totally endoscopic heart valve replacement or redo replacement, has experience performing more than 6,000 heart surgeries – including 1300 Tir-Port Chest Thoracoscopy Cardiac Surgery Technique procedures. Numerous scientific papers were published in detailing the further academic and clinical research into the development of the MA Technique. These results have been drafted into a volume titled “Application of Total Thoracoscopic Technology in Cardiac Surgery” that was published by the People’s Medical Publishing House Co., LTD. He has led and organized 11 sessions of technical demonstrations and academic seminars for the purpose of understanding and promoting the growing adoption of the MA Technique. So far, the outcomes of the events have been phenomenal, with over 200 (domestic and foreign) surgeons trained and exposed to the latest research trends in this field of study. In 2015, it established Ma’s suture technology of Aortic arch replacement for the treatment of acute type A aortic dissection, which has been promoted and applied nationwide, and has been recognized by domestic peers, and has A high academic status and popularity at home and abroad. He is the winner of "the third National Famous Medicine Grand Ceremony -- Excellent Demeanor of National Famous Doctor", "The Honorary Title of Golden Knife of cardiovascular surgery of Chinese Medical Association", and the member of the Academic Committee of the International Minimally invasive Thoracic Surgery Association. Member of the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Standing Member of the Expert Committee of Minimally invasive Cardiac Surgery of the National Cardiovascular Center, member of the minimally invasive Expert Group of the Cardiothoracic and vascular Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.
