Professor Song graduated from Shandong Medical University in 1987 and received Medical Doctor Degree in Cardiovascular Surgery. Now he serves as a professor and master advisor in Shandong University, and a member of Cardiothoracic Surgery Association of Chinese Medical Association.
 
Professor Song has 30 years of professional experience as a cardiovascular surgeon, and has extensive expertise in the surgical treatment of coronary artery disease, valve heart disease, aortic disease and congenital heart disease.
 
Professor Song has a reputation for clear thinking and superb operation skills, and has made numerous contributions in the medical treatment and scientific research in cardiac surgery. He has participated in one natural science foundation of Shandong Province, two research projects of the provincial Science and Technology Commission and has published many articles in international journals.
