He was graduated from clinical medicine major in Shandong Medical College in 1979. Currently, he is the chief physician of thoracic surgery department of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, professor of surgery of Shandong University, master supervisor, and chief examiner of national Professional Doctor Qualification Examination. He has been engaged in clinical medicine, teaching and scientific research in thoracic surgery for 27 years. He is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal cancer, lung cancer and mediastinal tumor. In the scientific aspect, he participated in 1 project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, undertook a project of Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province. He won the second prize of Medical Science and Technology Progress Award of Shandong Province. He had trained 12 master students. Additionally, he edited one audio-visual textbook for national planning and one color operation atlas of the Ministry of Health. He participated in the compilation of one textbook for the national adult higher medical education planning issued by the Ministry of Health, three guides for the national Qualification examination of medical Practitioners and three monographs published by People's Medical Publishing House and Shandong Science and Technology Publishing House and postgraduate teaching materials published by Shandong University.
