The Pediatric Surgery Department of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University is one of the earliest pediatric surgery medical units established in Shandong Province.With a long history and culture, complete professional settings, advanced equipments, and strong technical force, it integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health care, and rehabilitation. After nearly 60 years of construction, it has developed into a clinical master's and doctoral program of Shandong University.

The standardized training base for pediatric surgery residents, the training base for specialist physicians, the chairman unit of the Pediatric Surgery Branch of Shandong Research Hospital Association, is a comprehensive regional medical center for pediatric surgery based in Shandong, facing North China and radiating across the country.

The general department includes pediatric general surgery, pediatric urology, pediatric oncology, neonatal surgery and other majors. It has a pediatric anesthesia induction room, a pediatric surgery dedicated operating room and a care room, equipped with pediatric laparoscopy, pediatric ureteroscopy, pediatric arthroscopy, pediatric anesthesia machine and ventilator, neonatal incubator, pediatric ECG monitor, multi-channel micro-injection pump, bedside ultrasound system, etc.

In pediatric laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic surgery, trauma treatment and other fields, we continue to innovate and lead the development, and is at the leading level in China.
