On the morning of January 14, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University held the second meeting of the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters in 2021. The meeting studied the recent situation of the pandemic prevention and control work, and remobilized, deployed and implemented the work in a comprehensive, effective, and in-depth manner. Chen Yuguo, president of the hospital and commander-in-chief of the prevention and control headquarters, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was presided over by Tian Hui, vice president of the hospital and deputy commander-in-chief of the headquarters. Members of the headquarters and relevant personnel attended the meeting. Han Hui, director of the Medical Department and the Office of the Prevention and Control Headquarters, gave a briefing on the prevention and control work of the pandemic.
It has been pointed out that at present, the global pandemic is accelerating, and sporadic and clusters of cases are emerging domestically. After the emergence of new cases in surrounding provinces, the pandemic prevention and control work has become much more severe and complex. Five requirements have been put forward at the meeting: Firstly, all staff at the hospital should take active action to cautiously deal with the prevention and control work of the pandemic in winter and spring, resolutely implement the responsibility system of the prevention and control work, and build a solid bottom line for the prevention and control work of the pandemic. Secondly, all departments should continue to adhere to the principal of “clear division of labor, accountability system, unity and cooperation, and timely communication”, carry out in-depth and thorough supervision and inspection, pay further attention to details, check loopholes, and improve weak links and the work flow to implement the prevention and control work of the pandemic. Thirdly, the itinerary reporting and nucleic acid testing work should be further strengthened. Hospital staff must not leave Jinan unnecessarily, and online meetings and activities are proposed. It is advocated that all staff should celebrate the Spring Festival at Jinan. Hospital staff and their families should report if they leave or back to Jinan, and should be tested immediately after their return. Fourthly, we should further strengthen the construction of conditions for pandemic prevention. The Department of Infectious Diseases and Nucleic Acid Testing Laboratories have been upgraded and put into use, significantly enhancing the capacity to deal with the pandemic. All departments and sections must work together to speed up the purchase and operation of the mobile cabin CT for prevention and control work. Fifthly, we should strengthen the prevention and control work of nosocomial infection, refine the work measures and work flow, strengthen the training of infection control knowledge, and accurately strengthen the management of key departments to ensure the realization of the goal of “zero infection in the hospital”.
It is demanded that all staff at the hospital should resolutely eliminate war-wariness, fluke mind, and take action as soon as possible to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Take the initiative of the most severe stage of the pandemic in 2020 as the standard, make every effort to do a good job in the prevention and control work of the pandemic and continue to struggle forward to win the overall victory.
