Academician Zhang Yun, Professor Yang Qifeng selected as Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of 2020 by Elsevier

Academician Zhang Yun and Professor Yang Qifeng have made the latest (2020) list of the Highly Cited Chinese Researchers released by the global leader in information and analytics Elsevier on April 22. Previously, Academician Zhang Yun had been selected as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher for five consecutive years from 2014 to 2018.


 
Since 2014, the annual list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers has been adopting Scopus (a global leading citation and index database) as its data source of Chinese researcher’s scientific research outcomes, and using the selection method designed by ShanghaiRanking (ShanghaiRanking Consultancy), exerting an important influence on academic circles at home and abroad. A total of 4023 Chinese scholars of the most global influence in various disciplines are on the list of 2020, the number of which is significantly higher than the past 6 years, covering 84 first-level disciplines in 10 categories of the Ministry of Education. In the field of clinical medicine, Academician Chen Zijiang, Academician Zhang Yun, Prof. Yang Qifeng and Prof. Wang Chuanxin of Shandong University have made the list, marking a new breakthrough in the number of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers in this field at Shandong University.
