On the afternoon of June 7^th, medical workers of Qilu Hospital assisting in Shanghai’s emergency service officially came back safely after medical observation. Qilu Hospital held a welcome back ceremony for them. Hou Junping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Qilu Hospital attended the ceremony and gave a speech. President of the hospital Chen Yuguo hosted the welcome ceremony.



After medical workers arrived at the hospital, Hou Junping and Chen Yuguo handed flower bouquets to them. Leaders of the hospital shook hands with team members. Everyone was very excited to welcome our heroes back to home.

At the ceremony, Dong Hui, leader of the medical assistance team, Vice Director of the Medical Department; Qin Weidong, chief of the medical assistance team, Director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine; Bi Rongmei, deputy chief of the assistance team, Chief Nurse of the Department of General Surgery; Wang Shuhui, nosocomial infection expert, Chief of Nosocomial Infection Monitoring Section, Department of Nosocomial Infection Management; Dong Zhaogang, clinical laboratory expert, Assistant to the Director of the Department of Clinical Laboratory, gave speeches and exchanged their ideas. By introducing the medical assistance work in Shanghai from different perspectives and sharing their feelings at the frontline, they concluded that the assistance work is a glorious journey. Team members expressed their gratitude to the hospital for the support and concern, and said they would continue to shoulder their responsibilities and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the hospital after back to their daily work.

Hou Junping expressed sincere greetings and highest respect to COVID-19 fighters and their families. He said our medical staff have made great contributions to COVID-19 emergency service, winning the honor for Qilu Hospital. Hou Junping pointed out that, our medical assistance team is an energetic youth team, and our hospital’s future counts on the younger generation. “We hope all of you take the lead, striving to make greater contributions to construct the domestic first-class and international renowned high-level research-oriented hospital.”, said Hou.

Chen Yuguo pointed out that all members of the medical assistance team have always remembered the important instructions from President Xi Jinping that “Put peoples’ lives and physical health first”, and outstandingly achieved the assistance work with their good skills and noble ethics.


Leaders of the hospital Wang Bingxue, Liu Qing, Lin Yajie, Ji Chunyan, Chen Yingying, Han Hui, Zhang Xinping attended the meeting. Over 100 people attended the meeting, including members of the assistance team, members of the nucleic acid testing team, COVID-19 prevention and control experts, persons in charge of relevant Party and administrative departments, secretaries of Party branches, director and nurse manager representatives of relevant clinical departments, etc.
