On November 3-5, the First National Echocardiography Conference hosted by Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, was held in Jinan. Zhang Yun, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Chen Yuguo, President of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, Prof. Huo Yong, President of Asia Pacific Heart Association delivered opening speeches respectively. Prof. Benjamin Eidem, President of American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), and Prof. Steffen Petersen, President of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) sent congratulatory videos.

This academic conference had 14 sub-forums including guideline explanation, cardiomyopathy, atherosclerosis, congenital heart defect, valvular disease, medical-industrial integration, case competition, and youth academics, inviting 8 overseas guests and 110 domestic experts. 100 scholars delivered speeches, and a total of 192 academic reports were made at the conference.

With 936 participants on site and 928,000 views on the online synchronized live broadcast, the conference is the largest academic event on echocardiography in China so far.
